Do I have to pay a fee to the real estate agent? No, you do not have to pay the agent because this amount is paid directly by the seller to the agent or broker.

Although there is no set law, most of the payments would be the same. Next, when you sign a contract in Thailand, you leave a credit card or cash deposit. Some vendors will note that this money is' non-refundable,' so if you change your mind, you're going to lose this deposit. This is mostly 10% of the sale price or set at 50,000 or 100,000 THB. This is considered a reservation fee, but it is not legally binding. The seller will keep the property for you and not sell it to another buyer for at least 14 days up to 1 month. After that time, you are supposed to pay 20 to 50 per cent of the sale price through bank transfer from your country to the seller's account in Thailand. A further 25 per cent will be paid later and a full 100 per cent will be paid at the' handover of the title.' In some projects, a gradual payment plan has been worked out because the property is not ready to move in and the payments suit the progression of the land.

Do I have to pay a fee to the real estate agent? No, you do not have to pay the agent because this amount is paid directly by the seller to the agent or broker. Mostly in Thailand, the regular commission is 3%, but already some owners and developers are offering 5% more to inspire agents to sell their property. The agent's fee is paid by the seller because the agent is making a marketing effort to find the buyer. Although you don't pay the agent directly, he's going to take care of you when you buy from him.
