Tong Investments’ donation hopes to address the needs of infected people, medical and emergency personnel and service providers and medical testing facilities.

Tong Investments’ Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Alan Murdoch commented on the COVID-19 donation for India saying “India is going through a terrible time with regards to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic and we hope that this donation will help to scale-up efforts to limit human-to-human transmission, including reducing local transmission and containing the virus from spreading further.”

“Other than sending money, we have also got together with a few institutions here and sent testing kits and equipment for turning hospital beds into intensive care unit beds and lots of sanitization products and also supplying protective equipment, ventilators and various medicines and this will be distributed to district hospitals and designated infectious disease hospitals where the numbers keep on growing. We are also liaising with our personnel in India to assist where we can to protect the livelihoods of the people,” added Alan Murdoch, Chief Executive Officer of Tong Investments.
