The TRIUS PRO-834 has 12 million pixels, each just 3.1 micron square, perfectly suited to very short focal length optics, such as refractors or DSLR camera lenses. (Ideally suited for focal lengths of 300mm - 600mm)
With read-noise figures better than many CMOS cameras, along with high QE (Quantum Efficiency), delta cooling of approx. -45°C, 16bit data, and good full well depth figures, this is a great new addition to a wide field deep-sky imaging setup. As with all of our TRIUS cameras, the CCD chamber is purged with Argon gas to keep the CCD chamber free of moisture. There is also an AR coated fused silica window at the front of the camera and the built-in USB hub for driving your guide camera and filter wheel.

It has always been a problem using filters from different manufaturers. As we focus the guide camera parfocal with the main camera, once we changed filetrs, the guide camera would be out of focus. The solution we use to use was to focus the guide camera in between and hope for the best. Now we have a way of refocusing our OAG guide camera remotely. Of course the second advanatage is to use the focus motor to precisely focus our guide cameras.
TAKAHASHI TSA-120 REFRACTOR TELESCOPE
The TSA series is a member of Takahashi’s line of triplet refractors. In the TSA design, an ED glass lens is placed between two lenses, with air spacing in between. The resulting system achieves a high level of apochromatic performance for both visual observation and imaging.
The TSA-120 is a 120 mm apochromatic f/7.5 refractor with a focal length of 900 mm. It features a retractable lens hood and a 2.7 inch rack and pinion focuser. The TSA is compatible with several flatteners, reducers and extenders, including the TOA-35 Reducer, which converts the telescope to a f/5.3 imaging platform with a 44 mm image circle. Optical Tube Assembly only (mount, tripod, tube holder and finder sold separately).
