It has always been a problem using filters from different manufaturers. As we focus the guide camera parfocal with the main camera, once we changed filetrs, the guide camera would be out of focus. The solution we use to use was to focus the guide camera in between and hope for the best. Now we have a way of refocusing our OAG guide camera remotely. Of course the second advanatage is to use the focus motor to precisely focus our guide cameras.
QHY16803A-CFW7 and OAG
The QHY16803/IC16803 is a large format astronomical CCD camera using the well-known 16 megapixel KAF-16803 CCD, popular with both advanced amateurs and professionals. The image area is 36.8mm x 36.8mm with 4K x 4K pixels @ 9um. This camera can be used for both amateur astronomy and professorial astronomical research. It includes a built-in long life butterfly mechanical shutter providing even illumination for high photometric accuracy across the sensor's field of view.
