March on Washington August 28, 2021 to be led by the families impacted by police brutality

More than 450 members of families from more than 35 states across the U.S. — struck directly by the ongoing scourge of police murder and brutality — have called for a March on Washington, August 28, 2021 — the 58th anniversary of the historic 1963 civil rights march.

A rally with more than 200 impacted-family speakers will take place at the Ellipse, near the White House and will end with a powerful march to the Department of Justice.

Converge on the Capital with us as impacted families and their honest supporters take our rightful place in helping to shift and advance the nationwide struggle against police brutality by putting forward central demands that unify us all.

The demands are:
Fire, prosecute and jail killer cops. Reopen ALL cases of police brutality, including those in which grand juries refused to indict the cops responsible.

Impacted families and their supporters want immediate action from politicians and government officials with the power to enact or promote these measures. They also look to reset the focus of anti-police brutality demands nationally and recenter them to the core demands of virtually every impacted family in the country.

Every family deserves to see a conviction! Every family deserves to have their demands represented. Every family deserves the resources (financial and otherwise) that have been misdirected and diverted to NON-IMPACTED-FAMILY centered organizations, nonprofits and NON-JUSTICE seeking, government-launched programs over the past 7 years.

The list of impacted family members and supportive organizations joining the call continues to grow. Further information, visit www.maapb.org/mowdoj and www.impactedfamilies.com

* This impacted family–centered rally and march, starting at The Ellipse, is not in conjunction with the voting rights event at the Lincoln Memorial.
