Veganism, or a plant-based diet and way of life, is arguably the fastest growing lifestyle movement across the world. And, with 2018 being hailed The Year of The Vegan by pretty much every news source, activist group and statistician known to man, it made perfect sense to launch the ultimate plant-based lifestyle website, The Vegan Company, before the year was out.
Who’s behind it? Melissa Hobbs and Lainie Bracher Towner from the globally successful charity, Meat Free Week, which they launched in 2013, garnering unwavering support from uber food trendsetter, Jamie Oliver and many other high profile celebrities, chefs and influencers, such as Mimi Elashiry, Simon Bryant, Steph (Bambi) Northwood-Blyth, Krew Boland, Sir Paul McCartney and Deliciously Ella.
This award winning global campaign is aimed at raising awareness of the impact excessive meat consumption and production has on animal welfare, human health and the environment. The duo built Meat Free Week to phenomenal success, before handing it over the Bowel Cancer Australia in 2016, in order to begin yet another grassroots, life-changing project.
And here we are …
The Vegan Company has launched as a digital vegan lifestyle brand, catering to those who already identify as vegan or plant-based, as well as those who wish to explore this ever-increasing lifestyle choice. The Vegan Company curates and publishes content around food, fashion, beauty, wellness and lifestyle, with a retail shop rounding out the offer.
With the rapidly growing global vegan movement largely being driven by millennial women, Hobbs and Bracher Towner recognised the opportunity to bring vegan content and products together in a single destination, connecting like-minded individuals with an ever-growing collection of information, recipes, products and stories. The aim is to make being vegan simple, desirable and accessible for everyone.
From advice on cruelty-free cosmetics to vegan fashion, mouth-watering recipes to motivational narratives, nutritional information and all the products and accessories you could possibly need, The Vegan Company is a complete resource and one-stop-shop.
“No matter where you’re at - whether already vegan or simply wishing to bring a vegan element into your life - The Vegan Company will make it that little bit easier,” says Hobbs.
Bracher Towner adds, “The Vegan Company and its retail shop means you’ll never have to go searching again. We’ve done the legwork for you.”
It’s an exciting time to be vegan. Why not join the movement?
