MCX Gold, Silver, Crude Oil prices fall; MCX Cotton The Grs Solution Commodity Update

India’s Multi Commodity Exchange has recorded turnover of Rs. 10,434.56 crores in various futures & option contracts for commodities listed at MCX during session 1 on 09 February, 2018 .

 
In which commodity futures accounted for Rs. 10,428.78 crores and options on commodity futures for Rs. 5.77 crores.
MCX Comdex, the composite index of metals, energy and agri-commodities, was down by 27.06 point to 3,550.46, MCX Metal index was reached at 5,114.65.
MCX Energy index at 2,732.66, and MCX Agri index at 2,767.75. MCX COMDEX is India's maiden real-time Composite Commodity Index based on commodity futures prices of commodities listed on MCX.
Future turnover at MCX was Rs. 10,428.78 crores with 198,440 trades.
Bullion
In precious metals, Turnover of Gold and Silver variants clocked Rs. 2,410.84 crores.
GOLD Apr-18 contract was down by 0.35 % to Rs. 30,003 per 10 gram, GOLDGUINEA Feb-18 contract was down by 0.31 % to Rs. 24,222 per 8 gram and GOLDPETAL Feb-18 contract was down by 0.20 % to Rs. 2,989 per 1 gram. On other hand, GOLDM Mar-18 contract was down by 0.41 % to Rs. 29,980 per 10 gram.
SILVER Mar-18 contract was down by 0.28 % to Rs. 37,895 per kg, SILVERM Feb-18 contract was down by 0.31 % to Rs. 37,911 per kg, SILVERMIC Feb-18 contract was down by 0.32 % to Rs. 37,909 per kg.
Base Metals
Turnover of base metal products accounted for Rs. 5,316.76 crores. ALUMINIUM Feb-18 contract was down by 1.60 % to Rs. 138 per kg, COPPER Feb-18 contract was down by 0.99 % to Rs. 436 per kg, LEAD Feb-18 contract was down by 0.92 % to Rs. 162 per kg, NICKEL Feb-18 contract was down by 1.88 % to Rs. 833 per kg, ZINC Feb-18 contract was down by 1.11 % to Rs. 219.25 per kg.
Energy
Turnover of energy products contributed for Rs. 2,398.78 crores. CRUDEOIL Feb-18 contract was down by 0.81 % to Rs. 3,899 per BBL and CRUDEOILM Feb-18 contract was down by 0.81 % to Rs. 3,899 per BBL. NATURALGAS Feb-18 contract was down by 2.85 % to Rs. 171 per MMBTU.
Agri
Turnover of AGRI products was Rs. 302.41 crores. CARDAMOM Feb-18 contract was up by 0.06 % to Rs. 1,151 per kg, COTTON Feb-18 contract was up by 0.20 % to Rs. 20,220 per bales, CPO Feb-18 contract was up by 0.51 % to Rs. 575 per 10 kgs, MENTHAOIL Feb-18 contract was up by 1.59 % to Rs. 1,437 per kg.
Options on Commodity Futures
Most traded contracts among Gold Options were Call Option at Strike price of Rs. 30,000 with High of Rs. 472 , Low of Rs. 375 , close price of Rs. 445.5 and volume of 9 kgs. & Put Option at Strike price of Rs. 30,000 with High of Rs. 425 , Low of Rs. 342.5 , close price of Rs. 374.5 and volume of 3 kgs.
Gold Options accounted for Rs. 5.77 crores turnover (notional), having premium turnover of Rs. 6.35 lakhs & volume of 19 kgs with open interest of 413 kgs. The volume was 68.89 % contributed by Call Options and 31.11 % contributed by Put Options.
