Due to new menu options, a variety of hog cuts, and a diversity of presentation options, pig continues to be in high demand.

 
Because of its flexibility, affordability, and well-known flavour, pork is a favourite among chefs. Chefs are experimenting with a variety of unique and forward-thinking ways to use this ingredient. The following are five dishes that are ready to serve and all include pig as the primary ingredient. Five pork-centric options are linked by a creative approach, emphasising the importance of unique and original dishes on today's menus. This dish goes well with Roast Pork with Gravy.

Pork Belly is an excellent place to begin.
Since of the high-quality, rich character of pork belly, it is becoming increasingly popular in restaurants because chefs know they can rely on it to deliver a dish that diners will go crazy over. It will taste excellent if you chop it up and crisp it after it has been cooked sous vide or in a braising sauce. Salad dressings and other "healthier" dishes like these may benefit from the addition of a little amount of fat to give them a richer flavour.
