In 1972, Terry Baltes received a triple Bachelor of Science degree from The Ohio State University in Real Estate, Finance, and Marketing. In 1977, only five short years after graduating from college, Terry Baltes founded Baltes Commercial Realty, Ltd. He has served as company owner since its creation and recently celebrated its 36th year in business. Baltes Commercial Realty, Ltd works with a myriad of commercial properties in the Midwest region, from open plots of land to retail spaces.

Terry Baltes has accomplished much during his career, including two annually recurring awards and two instances of a one-time award from the CoStar Group, Inc. Every year for the past 20 years, Terry Baltes has been featured in “Hotel Business” and “Hotel Management Magazine” as part of their Top Ten Hotel Broker lists. Additionally, Terry Baltes is a two-time recipient of the CoStar Power Broker award, which he received in 2008 and 2012 for his exceptional performance in the field.

Professional accolades aside, Terry Baltes’ lengthy career in commercial real estate demonstrates his passion for the field. “I always knew that I wanted to go into real estate,” he explains, “and thankfully I have never changed my mind. It’s an area that I feel very strongly about.” Terry Baltes has worked in commercial real estate for almost 40 years, 36 of which have been with his own company, Baltes Commercial Realty, Ltd. “What I love about running my own company is that I am able to branch out into new, sometimes potentially risky areas. I don’t think I could have had all of these experiences if I had worked for someone else for my whole life.” Terry Baltes has had the freedom to explore a range of commercial real estate areas, which has contributed to his profound success.
