We have recently started analyzing some games for our users, so that they can check the game quality and features before downloading or purchasing the game. We test the game thoroughly based on many markers and based on that provide our rating to ensure that the right and true feedback reaches our users. Reason to start this process is that we have seen a lot of people downloading fake or not useful games from play store and then blaming other good games too. So we thought to create a community to ensure that our followers and users have right set of games with them.

We came across a very nice casual game, which is having tons of potential in entertaining users, so we thought to post a few comments on that. Every week we will cover up one game, and will explain about its features, pros and cons so that you can have right insight before downloading the game.

The game we will be digging into is "The Howitzer - Sling Shot Adventure". It's a recent game launch for Android devices and iOs based devices by Techy Mau Game Studios. The best feature is that they do cover all the tablets so unlike many other games, tablet users can enjoy the game too. Game is built on latest technology and is performing well on older versions and low end devices too. Below are mentioned factors which you should consider before downloading the game. Check them out.

Design: Team has really done a good job on the design perspective and it seems that every single level is designed with much research and keeping in mind that every user can clear it. It does not mean that the levels are pretty easy to clear, but that if you use bit of physics logic into game play the hard levels can be cleared too.
Secondly the design is pretty neat with only essential elements into it. UI is clean and this ensure minimum clicks to play the game. From the home screen to game-play, the game can be played simply and is easy to understand. Initial loading is greeted by a pretty video which is really nice, and then there are no splash screens and all you have is to start the game-play.
Buttons look bit weird but blend with the design, home screen animations can be done better and the screen transitions can also be improved. Currently they have a vintage feel.
Overall we can rate the game 8.5/10 on design.

Game Play: The most important segment in rating a game is its game-play and engagement of users in game-play. Team has done a good amount of work and coding to make the game-play smooth. Every level is with increasing difficulty but developers have given ways like Bouncing Pads and re-directors to clear the level. For assistance they also show the trail where your ball will land and also helps in deciding the direction of ball.
I figured out few crashes when any button is pressed repeatedly very fast. Developers must try to fix that, but in fact no one does that, so that might be the reason they left it. They have 40 levels in the initial launch and the levels designed was like medium difficulty, so all the levels take like 4-5 hours of game-play to complete the game. Developers have committed a new update with more levels soon.
Overall game-play we can rate at 9/10.

User Base: The game is with the rating of 3+ years age, so even the kids can play the game, and the game will increase creativity and their control over physics and calculations. Also the game can be played by adults as it is entertaining and challenging. Game Studio has used the common sling shot mechanism but put it in a story-line where there is a rivalry between the boxes and balls. And thus there is a story-line involved. Kids are going to love it. The initial feedback are also promising and developers have handled any reported bugs with grace.

Monetization: The best part about the game is that it is totally free to download and play. There is a store inside the game which allows you to purchase different types of balls which are more damaging and with special abilities, but that you can purchase without spending a penny. All the purchases can be made using the in game currency which are coins which you can easily earn by clearing levels, sharing the game and watching rewarded videos. So even the kids can unlock all the stuff and can engage into a challenging game-play without any load on their parent's pockets.

Overall the game is fun to play and is engaging with simplistic timeline. Still the effects and presentation can be improved easily, which we think developers must be working on. UPDATE: Good news to all the gamers. While we were publishing this article a new update has rolled out. Many new interesting features are introduced. Here is the brief summary.
They have introduced new type of boxes and difficulty level, so that the easy to win 40 levels have become somewhat tough. They have also added few new levels. These levels contains TNT which will explode and gives you bonus points, plus makes your gameplay easy.
Lastly, they have also bought up IAP, which is not by real money but the in-game currency, so you can have unlimited fun just by purchasing some extra Balls, and ensuring that you have right type of balls against right type of boxes. Otherwise, the levels are no more easy to win.

So, in the ending note I can suggest that there are many more updates rolling out soon, which includes new UI, new friends leaderboard and much more.
