Gaining skills to make a successful administrative career, Tawfik Adams possesses a keen interest in the success of the school and a desire to equip the students with the best. He completed Bachelor of Arts in United States History from Western Connecticut State University. Thereafter, he attended University of Bridgeport to complete Masters Degree in Secondary Education. Pertaining to the certifications he has received, Tawfik possesses Maryland Advanced Professional Certificate in Endorsements that included Admin I and II, and History. Additionally, he received the dissertation of the Year Award for “Determining the Relationship of Principal’s Leadership Styles (Transformational, Transactional, Laissez-Faire) on Teacher Job Satisfaction at Various Career Stages”.

As an educational administrator, Tawfik Adams formerly served as Assistant Principal at Bladensburg High School, Tawfik Adams helped in providing the leadership for the overall instructional programs that included selection and hiring of support and instructional staff. Besides, he assisted in the development and communication of administrative policies dealing with the academic, discipline and attendance.

Pertaining to his current profession, Tawfik Adams is currently employed as the social studies teacher at Charles County Board of Education since 2017. As a social studies teacher, Tawfik believes that social studies enable the students to put the current events into context and understand the world around them. Being a social studies teacher, he inspires the students to think critically about their world.

Tawfik Adams was selected to the Maryland Promising Principal Academy in 2015. He personally believed that the skills he learned here helped him to get better equipped to meet the increasing demands in the education. It enabled him to continue to grow and take his leadership to the next level.

Adding more to his accolades, Tawfik Adams earned a professional certificate in Educational Leadership from Southern Connecticut State University in 2000. He also possesses Maryland Advanced Professional Certificate in endorsements including Admin I and Admin II, and History.

In 2011, Tawfik Adams served as Assistant Principal at Oxon Hill High School where he represented the school within community forums for the purpose of maintaining ongoing community support for educational goals. He also assisted with the issues related to school environment.
