OffiDocs is a suite of products composed on Apache, LibreOffice and HAProxy that allows you to edit any kind of Office documents. OffiDocs is an office online editor that supports word online editor, xls online editor, excel online editor, ppt online editor, microsoft word online, microsoft excel online, microsof office online. It supports Microsoft Office formats like doc, docs, xls, xlsx, ppt, etc.

OffiDocs is specially based on a Collabora product CODE. As such, the rendering used is identical to the desktop version, which means documents will look exactly the same in the web and offline version. Images, tables, graphs, word-art, styles and anything else embedded in the document will be there and will look exactly as it should. This is unique to LibreOffice as other web based office suits have created new rendering engines which typically introduces subtle differences and missing features compared to their desktop counterparts and the standards they implement.

OffiDocs is then based on LibreOffice. LibreOffice is the most actively developed free and open source office suite, a project of The Document Foundation. It comes from OpenOffice.org which was an open-sourced version of the earlier StarOffice. As such Offidocs includes programs for word processing, the creation and editing of spreadsheets andslideshows. Note that LibreOffice uses the international ISO/IEC standard OpenDocument file format (ODF) as its native format to save documents for all of its applications. LibreOffice also supports the file formats of most other major office suites, including Microsoft Office, through a variety of import/export filters.
