As in the previous year, Business Today and Taggd invited salaried employees from firms across India to participate in an open online poll. This year's survey had more than 35,000 responses, up from 32,000 or so last year. A specific percentage of responders were phoned back at random to cross-check their credentials and confirm that the quality of their comments met acceptable criteria.

The Top 25 Companies to Work For

The respondents were asked to choose three organizations that, in their opinion, offer the finest employment opportunities in India. Rank 1 is given more weight than rank 2, which is less. Additionally, the distance between positions one and two is thought to be greater than that between positions two and three. The 90% rule will be used to effectuate this difference, meaning that rank 2 will receive 90% of the weight of rank 1, rank 3 will receive 90% of the weight of rank 2, and so on.
Ranking by Sector

Following their selection of these companies, we asked the respondents to rank them on a scale of 1 to 10 on each of the four factors: people growth initiatives, people well-being, engagement and connect, and thinking beyond business. The top-ranked firm was given an index score of 100 after rank scores were calculated, and the scores of the other companies were indexed to the top company's score.
The Top 25 Best companies to work for 2023 in India and the Top 4 firms across 12 industries were determined as a consequence of the process.
