Syncis Offers New Associates Quality Mentorship

Syncis was formed with the aim of providing financial services to middle-income clients through a team of talented Associates. This would not be possible without a focus on professional development within the organization.

In 2009, John Kim and Les Schlais decided to form Syncis with the aim of providing financial services to middle-income families. Both felt as though the current industry was not doing enough to serve the needs of such people and focused on developing a business model that would not only offer the guidance that people needed, but would also offer opportunities to those who wished to start their second careers in the financial sector. Quality mentorship opportunities were crucial to the success of the latter aim and the company recognizes that without the help of its more experienced Associates, those who are new to Syncis would struggle to succeed.

From the moment new Associates enter the Syncis organization, they are provided with an array of materials that offer them information they need to know about products and ethos when it comes to working with clients. The focus is always placed on building relationships with clients, which is why the company’s motto is “Strengthening families with trust and understanding.” The first part of the mentorship process involves helping new Associates understand what this means and how they can apply this philosophy to their work.

New Associates will then be paired with more experienced colleagues who can offer them the benefits of their own experiences. These professional mentors will dig down into the specifics of the services that Associates need to be able to provide, placing particular focus on sales, marketing and the administrative processes that are needed in order to become successful as an Associate.

Syncis places an enormous focus on professional development, which is why this mentorship program is such a crucial part of the company’s makeup. Without it, new Associates would struggle to offer their services in a manner that allows them to build trust with clients, plus they would find that their own professional development journeys would be hindered by a lack of information. This desire to educate and mentor Associates has also allowed the company to develop a talent pool that draws people in from all walks of life.
