Infertility treatments are often expensive, when it comes to the success of the infertility treatments, depends on several elements like age of the woman, the reason for infertility, the health of the woman and the quality of eggs and the semen collected for fertilization. A woman’s age is the most critical factor when it comes to successful pregnancy. In some situations women are born with fewer eggs and by the time a woman reaches her mid 20 to 30’s more than 2/3rd of her eggs are used up. The best quality are ovulated first. As women grow older, less quality eggs are left behind which have to respond to fertility. When women’s age grows above 35 the count of eggs starts depleting and in her 40’s much fewer are left. Hence in older women very less embryos are left in the uterus to implant. Women aged above 40 years have only 20% success rate after undergoing IVF treatment using a woman’s own eggs.
