Services Offered at Sussex Eye Laser Clinic
The Sussex Eye Laser Clinic offers a wide range of services to address various eye conditions. These services are designed to cater to individual needs and provide long-lasting solutions. Some of the key treatments offered at the clinic include:

1. Laser Refractive Surgery
Laser refractive surgery is an advanced method to correct issues with short- and long-sightedness or astigmatism. At Sussex Eye Laser Clinic, several laser refractive treatments are available, including:
• LASIK (Laser-Assisted In-situ Keratomileusis) - LASIK involves creating a flap on the front of the cornea before using an excimer laser to reshape the cornea beneath. The flap is then repositioned to facilitate faster healing.
• LASEK (Laser-Assisted Sub-Epithelial Keratomileusis) - In LASEK, only the front epithelial cells of the cornea are loosened and moved aside. The excimer laser is then applied to reshape the cornea, and the epithelial cells are repositioned afterwards.
• Transepithelial PRK (TransPRK) - Transepithelial PRK is a vision correction procedure that involves completely removing the front epithelial cell layer of the cornea before excimer laser ablation. It offers faster recovery due to the automated removal of the cell layer.
• Topography Guided PRK/LASEK - This advanced laser eye surgery is based on capturing the shape (topography) of the cornea and applying customized ablation for precise vision correction.

2. Cataract Surgery
Sussex Eye Laser Clinic provides cataract surgery to address blurred vision caused by cataracts. Our clinic offers treatments to correct long-sightedness, short-sightedness, and astigmatism, tailoring the approach to each patient's visual needs.

3. Refractive Lens Exchange
Refractive lens exchange, also known as clear lens exchange, is a procedure to address deteriorating vision. The natural lens of the eye is replaced with a modern intraocular lens implant, customizing the patient's vision for improved clarity.

4. YAG Laser Capsulotomy
After cataract surgery or refractive lens exchange, some patients may experience cloudiness on the lens surface. YAG Laser Capsulotomy is a procedure that effectively removes this cloudiness, restoring clear vision.

5. Implantable Contact Lenses
Implantable contact lenses are artificial lenses placed behind the pupil and in front of the natural clear lens. This option provides independence from traditional contact lenses and spectacles, offering a tailored solution for improved vision.

6. IPL for Dry Eyes
The clinic offers advanced dry eye management options for patients experiencing mild to severe dry eyes, providing relief and comfort.

7. Corneal Crosslinking (CXL)
Corneal Crosslinking is a crucial treatment for conditions that cause the cornea to bulge forward, such as keratoconus and pellucid marginal degeneration. This procedure halts the progression of these conditions, preserving and improving vision.

8. Corneal Transplants
Sussex Eye Laser Clinic also performs corneal transplants for various conditions affecting the cornea's layers.

These transplants include:
• DSAEK (Descemet's Stripping Automated Endothelial Keratoplasty) - DSAEK replaces the inside layers of the cornea and is effective for conditions like Fuch’s endothelial dystrophy and pseudophakic bullous keratopathy.
• DMEK (Descemet's Membrane Endothelial Keratoplasty) - DMEK replaces the inside layer (Descemet's layer) of the cornea and is suitable for conditions like Fuch’s endothelial dystrophy and pseudophakic bullous keratopathy.
• DALK (Deep Anterior Lamellar Keratoplasty) - DALK is performed to treat conditions affecting the front layers of the cornea, such as keratoconus and corneal scars.
• PK (Penetrating Keratoplasty) - PK involves replacing the full thickness of the central cornea with a donor cornea. This procedure is used for conditions affecting the entire thickness of the cornea.

At Sussex Eye Laser Clinic, clients can expect a thorough consultation process, cutting-edge technology, and a team of dedicated professionals devoted to improving and customizing vision. Whether it's laser refractive surgery, cataract treatment, or corneal transplants, patients can trust the expertise and experience of our clinic's team to provide exceptional eye care services.
