KEC International bags multiple orders worth Rs1029 cr

Mumbai: KEC International Ltd (KEC), a global infrastructure EPC major, announced that its transmission and distribution, cables and renewable businesses have secured new contracts worth Rs1029 crore.

The Transmission and Distribution business has secured orders in India, Zambia and the Americas accounting to Rs746 crore. The order from India is for supply and erection of 220 kV and 66 kV transmission line in Jammu & Kashmir. The order worth Rs207 crore comes from Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd (PGCIL). Besides, the company has received two orders aggregating to Rs30 crore for replacement of existing conductor. In Zambia, the company has secured Rs253 crore turnkey order from ZESCO Ltd for 330 kV and 220 kV transmission line.

The company’s wholly owned subsidiary SAE Towers has won orders for the supply of lattice towers, monopoles, hardware and EPC works from the United States, Brazil and Mexico. The total value of these orders is Rs222 crore which includes EPC contracts for transmission lines of Rs115 crore in Brazil. besides the company has secured small order totaling Rs34 crore.
The Cables Business has bagged Rs273 crore orders for the supply of power and telecom cables. In the Renewable Business, KEC has bagged its first turnkey order in solar space. The Rs10 crore order is for design, supply, installation, testing and commissioning of solar PV power plant.
