Alsicare, the health and care division of Alsico, launches its bulk buy healthcare uniforms range this week. Alsicare aims to bring quality care uniforms at attractive prices to all parts of the care and health sectors. Alsicare believes that while large organisations such as private hospital providers and NHS trusts have always benefited from bulk buying there have been fewer opportunities for small businesses. Alsicare says its determined to serve vets, technicians, dentists, and home care franchises who all too often have to pay through the nose for uniforms whether its tunics or scrubs or nurses dresses.

Alsicare’s approach is to put large and small providers on an equal footing with the launch of its first bulk buying deals. The first deals are for tunics but more bulk buy deals are in the pipeline including deals on scrubs.

A spokesman said, “For too long bulk buy deals – or rather any meaningful deals – have been out of reach of small independent providers such as home care franchises and vets. Our approach – to offer deals on multiples of 10 or even 4– means both large and small businesses benefit. We’re very proud of that.”

The launch deals include a pack of 10 female white nurses tunics at £129 excluding VAT (Ref. ACFT11). These are available in sizes 8 to 28, and packs of mixed sizes can be ordered at no extra cost. Alsicare prides itself on the quality of each garments design. For example, each female tunic has a rounded collar, concealed zip front fastening and back vents with action pleats. There are plenty of pockets too with 2 breast pockets, 2 lower front hip pockets, with one polyurethane pen pocket set to front panel on right pocket. The tunic is set off by short sleeves with shaped cuff ends and contrast Sailor Navy piping to collar, lower pockets and sleeves. The finished length is 79cm and the weight of the poly-cotton is 210gsm. All tunics can have a logo embroidered on the front.

Other tunics immediately available in bulk packs include a pack of 10 white male tunics at £129 excluding VAT (Ref. ACMT61), a Pack of 4 Female A Frame / Move Tunic – Pink (Ref. ACFT31) for £60.48 excluding VAT and a pack of Pack of 4 Male A Frame / Move Tunic – Navy (Ref. ACMT90) also for £60.48. The A-Frame tunics are unique to Alsicare and are designed specifically for comfort and ease of movement in a care environment where staff are often working in a warm environment and lifting and stretching throughout the day.
