Subrata Chakravarty holds more than 15 years of experience in health care. Currently, he is serving as the intraoperative physician who looks after the patient undergoing surgery right from the initiation of anesthesia.
Focused on alleviating chronic pain of patients, Subrata Chakravarty believes that relaxation techniques work best to calm your mind and relax your body. These techniques include diaphragmatic breathing, guided imagery, progressive muscle relaxation, and mindfulness. Subrata advises his patients to start with gentle exercises in order to build stamina and pain tolerance.

Highly engaged in active clinic work, Subrata has the best qualification and proficiency in anesthesiology. He believes that with anesthesiology, he would get those challenging cases to take care of. Being into the field of anesthesiology, he worked hard to present various studies. Subrata presented his study on “Comparison of automated intermittent low volume bolus with continuous infusion for labour epidural analgesia” at the Annual Meeting, American Society of Anesthesiologist Chicago and Singapore.

Regarding his previous professional experience, Subrata Chakravarty joined as Staff Anesthesiologist with Alberta Health Services and has been working with them since then. He continued to preach and teach and was appointed as Assistant Clinical Professor at the University of Alberta.

Adding to his achievements so far in the field of anesthesiology, Subrata attained fellowship at Mount Sinai Hospital. Thereafter in 2010, he got the “Research in Education Award” at the prestigious SOAP (Society for Obstetric Anesthesia and Perinatology) Annual meeting. Furthermore, he conducted research in the field of simulation and his study “Effectiveness of using high-fidelity simulation to teach the management of general anesthesia for Cesarean delivery”.

About Subrata Chakravarty

Regarding his education credentials, Subrata Chakravarty got his training as Clinical Fellow at KK Women’s and Children’s Hospital in Singapore. Thereafter, he attained his one year of fellowship in Obstetric Anesthesia from University of Toronto. In 2008, Subrata attended Mount Sinai Hospital to achieve his fellowship of two years in Clinical Anesthesia.
