This Press Release is written to inform that Subrata Chakravarty made his career successful in terms of teaching, and research

 
Currently serving as an intraoperative physician, Subrata Chakravarty makes sure that he speaks with each patient scheduled for surgery, answers their questions and alleviates their fears. He believes that it brings confidence in them as these patients are very vulnerable before surgery.

Adding to his professional experience, Subrata joined as Staff Anesthesiologist with Alberta Health Services and has been working with them since then. He continued to preach and teach and was appointed as Assistant Clinical Professor at the University of Alberta.

Subrata Chakravarty got his training as Clinical Fellow at KK Women’s and Children’s Hospital in Singapore. Thereafter, he attained his one year of fellowship in Obstetric Anesthesia from University of Toronto. He went to Mount Sinai Hospital to achieve his fellowship of two years in Clinical Anesthesia in 2008.

Hailing from Edmonton, Subrata works for acute care in surgical programs and labor analgesia. He is passionate about Addiction Medicine and Chronic Pain. He has been into teaching and practicing safe airway management. He completed his three year fellowship from Mount Sinai Hospital, Toronto. Subrata followed his passion for labor analgesia and anesthetic management of high risk obstetric cases.

Subrata presented a paper at the SOAP annual meeting in Texas. In terms of teaching, research, and training, his three years fellowship at Mount Sinai Hospital was very fruitful. Thereafter, in 2010, he got the “Research in Education Award” at the prestigious SOAP Annual Meeting.

Subrata was appointed as Assistant Clinical Professor at the University of Alberta. Currently, he lives in Edmonton along with his family. He is happily married to his wife of more than two decades and has two great kids.
