Rotary Youth Exchange offers students with different types of exchange programmes that include a short-term exchange in the summer, a full academic year of high school or a gap year. Basis on what the class students’ study in, they can opt for high school year abroad, gap year abroad and summer abroad. Rotary Youth Exchange sponsors students from 15 to 19 years of age in more than 100 countries all over the world. These programs are aimed at offering students a different exposure altogether by allowing them to be part of a new culture in the destination country and learn things in a different educational background.

Elaborating on the student exchange and scholarship programs, the senior executive further stated, “Our student exchange programs have many benefits, as they help participants develop skills that become crucial in their career growth. During any of these programs, students develop lifelong leadership skills, learn a new language, know about a different culture, build everlasting friendships with young people all around the world and, in nutshell, become global citizens.”

Students who opt for Rotary Youth Exchange’s Long-term Exchange Program (LTEF) need to attend high school while on the exchange programme. Eligible students who have graduated from a high school and who opt for an exchange program during their gap year are still required to attend high school full-time in their assigned foreign country.
