Rotary Youth Exchange blends culture and adventure to create an upward learning curve for teens and young adults, globally. The offshoot of Rotary International conducts High School Abroad, Gap Year Abroad and Summer Abroad programs across 100 countries and 5 continents. The exchanges come in both, long-term and short-term options, helping participants explore the destination country’s culture, language, along with the best sights, sounds and smells, the way they like. The exchanges are also safe, convenient and affordable, thanks to Rotary Youth Exchange’s vast network, streamlined systems, and backing of the parent organization.

The spokesperson at Rotary Youth Exchange recently stated, “Exchanges are a way to promote harmony, create personalities and satiate wanderlust – all at the same time. When a youngster interacts with different cultures, his/her purview broadens, and he/she learns to celebrate differences and live harmoniously with people from different cultures, ethnicities, and faiths. That’s a true trait of a global citizen. The interactions also help him/her to learn a new language, acquire leadership and other traits essential for overall personality development. The short-term exchanges stretch over a couple of days to three months, subject to the program specifications. Unlike long term exchanges where the participant studies in the local school in the host country, the short-term ones are customized to suit his/her interests. Tours of specific places or regions can be included upon the participant’s request. Rotary Youth Exchange offers short-term exchanges in varied structures but homestays, tours, family-to-family, and international youth camps are the sought-after options. Each option is affordable, as the participant’s lodging, food, and school fees are sponsored by Rotary International.

On Gap Year Programs Abroad, the spokesperson further stated, “Often American and Canadian high school graduates feel that Rotary Youth Exchange High School Study Abroad program is a lost opportunity for them. However, that’s a misconception. No denying the fact that our High School Study Abroad program primarily targets current high school students but there’re a few opportunities for graduates as well. As such, they can put meaning into their gap year travel with our well-curated and aptly executed Gap Year Program Abroad. We guarantee an exceptional experience with ample opportunities to learn and evolve.”
Besides Gap Year Abroad Program, Rotary Youth Exchange also offers Rotary Study Abroad program. This is a scholarship program, allowing eligible candidates to pursue education in foreign shores with complete assurance. The program includes hosting by foreign Rotary Club, primary tuition and placement in a Rotary approved school, homestay accommodation with food, and a monthly stipend. The participant can also expect airport transfers on arrival and departure, round the clock worldwide emergency assistance, along with secondary travel and medical insurance, accident, ill health, repatriation and third-party liability. However, airfare, passport and visa fees need to be paid out of pocket.
