Rotary Youth Exchange is a popular and reliable study abroad program, allowing students to explore new dimensions of student life in a foreign environment.

Many students have an urge to do something different and foreign student exchange programs are one of the exiting ways of accomplishing the same. Student exchange programs are ideal for those who choose to become foreign students for whatever duration, decide to leave the familiar behind, and take chances to know the unknown. They challenge themselves and show a commitment to learn about the world and understand people in a way that is dissimilar to the learning from textbooks and school assignments. Dedicated to students who are up for redefining their world, Rotary NAYEN (North American Youth EXCHANGE Network) offers lucrative Rotary Youth Exchange study abroad programs and scholarships.

While talking about Rotary Youth Exchange, its spokesperson in an interview commented, “Rotary Youth Exchange study abroad programs and scholarships are meant to enable students to explore their hidden potential. To be an exchange student is like having a wide assortment of opportunities to find out about another culture, learn a different language, respect different people for their differences, and more. While experiencing life in another culture and making close friends in a host country, students get to learn something new every day.”

The Rotary Study Abroad program is a scholarship program tailored for students who have dreamt of studying abroad as a foreign exchange student. The program includes hosting by the foreign Rotary Club on a space available condition, primary tuition and placement in a school approved by the foreign Rotary Club, homestay accommodation, including meals with a host family, and a monthly stipend from the hosting Rotary Club. Some other inclusions are airport transfers on arrival and departure, 24-hour worldwide emergency assistance throughout the program, secondary travel and medical insurance, and some in-country orientations. On the other hand, the program fee (varies depending on each Rotary district), primary insurance for travel and medical, accident, ill health, repatriation and additional coverage against third-party liability, passport and visa application fees, and other travel costs are not included in the program.

The spokesperson added, “Rotary Youth Exchange is a foreign student exchange program for students who are 15 to 19 years old. These exchanges enable students to become global citizens and are sponsored by Rotary Clubs in more than 100 countries. The exchange programs are of two types – long-term exchanges and short-term exchanges. Long-term exchanges last a full academic year, wherein students attend local schools while living with multiple host families. The student exchange programs differ from one another; however, most of them include the provision of room and board, as well as school fees.”

Study Abroad High School Summer https://www.studyabroadscholarships.org/high-school-exchange/ is a short-term Rotary Youth Exchange program that lasts several days to three months. Structured in the form of tours, camps, and homestays in a foreign destination, they take place when the student’s school is not in session. Therefore, students generally don’t attend school in a host country during these exchanges but can tailor the exchange to match their interests or to include tours of specific places or regions.
