Universal remotes are great little devices that you can use to replace your existing remote control. Electric garage doors are fantastic in that they make life much easier. No one likes to have to get out of their car to open their garage doors and then back in to drive into the garage. Then manually close the doors. It's just so much hassle.

Don't despair if your garage door remote is missing. If you've done a bit a research you'll realise that each device can only be programmed to work on certain frequencies. This means that a particular universal device will not work with just any set of garage doors. And rightly so. This is a pretty standard security default that all manufacturers adhere to.

So you've also got electric gates as well as your automatic garage doors. The problem with this setup is that you are likely to have a couple of remotes. Well, why have two when you can do the same job with just one remote control fob. Do yourself a favour and combine your two devices into one with a universal garage remote controller.

You see some of the devices are not just for garage doors, they can have a few different applications to make life easier for the consumer. This means that there is no longer any need to fumble about in your bag to find for that other remote. Of course, if you mount your remote controller then combining the two means that the one device means that less room is taken up.

Finding a replacement for your broken and faulty garage door remote control is trouble free. You may, of course, choose to have it repaired if this is possible. If, however, your vendor or repair shop confirms that your device is beyond economical repair then a new replacement may be necessary.
