Dr. Sarraga was born and raised in Puerto Rico, where he spent most of his life. Dr. Sarraga decided at a really early age to follow in his grandfather's footsteps and pursue a career in the art of medicine and surgery. Even prior to entering medical school, Dr. Sarraga was fascinated by surgery; he spent all his summers volunteering in the operating room at the Cardiovascular Center in Puerto Rico. Dr. Sarraga then finished a full general surgery residency at the Universty of Puerto Rico, where he was acknowledged as intern of the year throughout his internship year. While training at the oncologic hospital, he was first revealed to breast reconstruction. Soon after he decided that plastic surgery was his calling.
