First responders, relief providers, long term recovery workers; we depend on all of them in times of catastrophic destruction. Natural or manmade, hurricane or arson, those affected need help to survive and recover.

There are dangers in providing this help: the searing heat in any fire that burns our lungs on inhalation, and can cause permanent scarring, or the spores that grow in the damp after rain and flood that we inhale while mucking out a home or workplace, and any number of toxins released into the air or overflowing sewers that foul the environment.

There are ways to safe guard the health of those facing these dangers, but they are not fool proof. The reduction of stress by addressing the spirit will greatly boost the potential for all these responders. It is part of the work of the Scientology Volunteer Ministers: to help those who are helping.
