Tolerance. What definition do you use? Do you mean that you can easily and comfortably experience something? Or do you mean that you can put up with it if you have to?

There is quite a difference in attitude and experience. Perhaps you just mean that you will allow it to exist if it isn't too close by. Still, how you experience something depends on your attitude. What can you easily experience?

Right now in our global culture there are two things we express, ask,and talk about tolerance of, and those are race, which includes color and ethnicity, and religion or faith. These two seem world wide and from first world to third world. Gender expression would fit with ethnicity, for the sake of this discussion. Can you experience the nature, behavior, or belief that differs from yours? To what degree can you experience it?

We are here in this world, all of us. One on one, is it easier to talk? When we are not lined up on sides, and pushing against the other side, are we happier? There are some who thrive on the conflict. Like in sport, American Football for example, there are those who find the conflict, even when it is physical, exhilarating. For some, I think, they especially like the physical. Who or what can we include in our sphere, and remain in accord with life? Can we grow in our willingness to experience? All these differences bring interest to life. They can expand our lives. At the very least, we can appreciate one another, and allow the other to be.
"Any advice one might give another on this subject is safest when it simply asserts the right to believe as one chooses." L. Ron Hubbard.
