The City of Tampa will open the remaining parks on Saturday , 23 May and urges the practice of social distancing. The parks and the Waterworks River Walk will be open for the enjoyment of citizens and neighbors.

The Mayor's Office announced the full reopening on Thursday afternoon. It comes more than a week after the city reopened its trails, dog parks and beaches on 13 May. Residents may also use tennis and racket ball courts if limited to two people per court.

Picnic shelters, playgrounds, outdoor exercise equipment, and volleyball courts will remain closed. And the rowers using the boathouse will have to wait to get onto the Hillsborough River. That facility remains closed for now.

Kayak and canoe launches will be open, as will sports fields, golf courses, and skate parks. The restrooms will also be open. The city urges all park visitors to practice social distancing and keep groups to less then 10 individuals.
