Social is all about others, isn;t it? The root is from the early Latin word "socius", which means friendly, through a later Latin word "socialis" which means allied.
Responsibility is from the Latin word "respondere", which means answered in return, answering to. Communication and affinity are the keys to making our world work.
We take care of each other because we care. We single out a group that is due some support, and social media makes it possible for this support to come from all around the world, in a very short time. Friendly communication is answered with help. This is one way we are responsible for one another.

Responsibility is an amazing thing when carried out by helping each other. Sometimes it is simply offering your sidewalk or driveway for a neighbor's child to color on, and then thanking them for the beauty they have created. Not just help both ways in the now, opportunity given and beauty received, but it is help that will reach toward the future in the encouraging of the child. And truly, isn't the one helping rewarded as much as the one who is helped?

Human Right number 29 from the Universal Declaration of Human Rights is Responsibility. It is explained further as having a duty to other people, and says we should protect their rights and freedoms. "It is in your power to point the way to a less dangerous and happier life." L. Ron Hubbard www.thewaytohappiness.org
