On Grand Bahama all of these are in resurgence. These characteristics help individuals rise from the storm wrought chaos. They are the building blocks of bridges from shock and loss, terror and despair to the future. The urge toward survival is the basic thrust of all life.
And that urge to survive encourages us to build bridges to each other, so as families and groups we can help and support each other and rebuild prosperity faster, and to create joy and love, for what is life without those?
And faith. Faith can be the support, the strength, the rest. Faith with beauty allows us to put our futures back in place. We must take time to look around us at all the beauty that is Grand Bahama and give thanks. For the island and for the people who are helping; those from away, and those from here. Whatever we face, we can improve.
