Lack of Understanding Fuels Contentious Behavior

Interfaith groups create understandings that can bridge differences, and create a broader community.

Interfaith is a concept that encompasses the willingness to understand the spiritual and religious life of others. There are many religions and spiritual practices that carry their adherents through living their lives. But also, it is important to acknowledge the rights of those who are not aware of, or just don't find to be true, existence of themselves as a spiritual being, or the existence of God or a Creator, or a pantheon of Deities, or an awareness of self as a spiritual being,or just feeling that you don't know. There is a respect for and a search for understandings of the wide range of expressions of human kind

There are many Interfaith groups now, and they are spreading out in circles that will soon intersect and overlap, several pebbles dropped into this mutual pond simultaneously and then consecutively, bringing friendships, hope and joy. This is a very intimate level of understanding, mind to mind or soul to soul, person to person. It creates a strong net. It connects strands of positive attitude or energy and friendship around the world. There are unexpected points of agreement, often generated by shared celebrations and joy. We are truly one race: humankind. Philosopher L. Ron Hubbard says directly, "Respect the religious beliefs of others."
It has to do with actually seeing one another. www.thewaytohappiness.org @waytohappinesstampa
