Holidays Bring Heightened Good Will Despite Coronavirus

Holiday lights to break the night show good will to one and all.

It is almost the longest night of the year. There is energy here, but more settled than it has been.Attention has turned from politics to holidays and celebrating and fellowship. My neighborhood is splendid with lights and greenery. In this tropical clime, the world around us is continually green and growing, although it grass mowing is only necessary twice a month instead of twice a week, but we still use ever greens for decoration and their symbolic quality : life everlasting. This concept, with the truth of it, brings a certain kind of peace. Peace and light in the darkness seems more appropriate in the Northern hemisphere, but the concept is all encompassing. It will outlast Coronavirus. Hope can be a great component of peace.

"The way to happiness far more easily followed when supports people of good will.", says L. Ron Hubbard. We have many examples, great and small, of the difference people of good will can make. Sometimes it is a simple act by a neighbor. My next door neighbor will sometimes bring my trash and recycling cans back up my driveway when she notices I am not home at my regular time. There is another neighbor who will just add my yard to his chores list when he is mowing his own lawn. So when a thunderstorm or worse brings a power outage, I make my kitchen available, since I have a gas stove that can be lit with a match. Holiday lights reflecting inner lights. Peace.
