The people of planet earth are generous. There were warehouses full of food, water, supplies, and clothing sent from all these people, from all around the world to Freeport, Grand Bahama.

On Saturday, September 21, these goods were loaded into trucks, carried to Independence Park, unload and sorted into like kinds for distribution to the Bahamian people.A small army of Volunteer Ministers of the Church of Scientology, 91 of them, were instrumental in this distribution at every step of the way. From loading and unloading the trucks to establishing the the lines of distribution and handing out the goods, there was a sea of their golden yellow shirts. More than 15,000 people received goods to replace what was lost.

It is heartening to see the people on the Grand Bahama reclaiming their daily life. Schools are starting to open. Front and back yards are getting cleaned up. The piles of rubbish from mucked out houses grow, and are then picked up and carted away. People just keep creating a future that looks more like what they want.

In the last few days the numbers of prepared lunches being delivered have continually diminished. This is because power is coming on and people can again cook at home.

And still, and again, we see that L. Ron Hubbard was right when he said, "Something can be done about it."
