Coronavirus, When You Get It, Locks You Down

Just when all seems to be going well, there is a surge in the Coronavirus, and this time, I have it.

It has been a short time, in truth, but it seems interminable. It will never end. I find myself in need of making a fast buck. To do this I would usually go sell something on a condensed time basis, like a trade show, or sub-in on a jewelry roadshow at Costco. You get the idea. But now, these activities are unavailable. Not only has the Coronavirus cut into my regular work, which entails events and luncheons at least once a month, but a lot of community outreach. Can you tell I like being out and about and shoulder to shoulder with people? What is life without other people?

Well, not only are these activities suspended, (I hope not gone), but I have tested positive for this particular Coronavirus. So now I am totally on my own. My housemate has gone to live with his significant other, and I am in isolation. I leave money that has been sprayed down with rubbing alcohol on my porch in the chair farthest from my front door, where they can leave my food or other necessities. it is not quite an air lock, but it will do. I am fortunate in that I don't feel entirely horrible. For me the worst part of this is a sort of spaced out feeling of being disconnected; perhaps because to some degree I am disconnected.

This is my own doing. I was just a little too relaxed about the actual danger in the environment, and didn't follow the hygiene protocols closely enough. A small common sense guide called "The Way To Happiness" by L. Ron Hubbard, gives this advice, "People who do not bathe or wash their hands regularly can carry germs. They put you at risk." www.thewaytohappiness.org
