Coronavirus Brings International Politics and Diplomacy Home to the Individual

Some nations are striving to open to as many other nations as rapidly as may be safe, no matter who it is. Other nations maintain an Attitude.

It is a time of quiet and loud political dissidence. Quietly nations still have their borders closed to one another, while keeping a lesser degree of lockdown in their separate countries.
Some nations are striving to open to as many other nations as rapidly as may be safe, no matter who it is. Other nations maintain an Attitude. Yes, like a petulant and sarcastic kid,
they say, "Since you won't open to my people (even though they are much more likely to carry the virus) I won't open to yours." So the economies and the people all are less fluid.
Some call this "diplomacy". Some call it "negotiation." Some call it just plain silly. But no matter how it is labeled, it is a fact of existence during the time of Coronavirus.

The glorious thing about the internet and all the social media is that it has given rise to some really special creation in both business and the arts. And far flung families and friends now have better ideas of the daily lives of one another. One can learn and do so very much in the virtual space. Still, there is the absence of "the roar of the greasepaint - the smell of the crowd", the lack of touch, and some forms of learning. There is the fact that the planting and harvesting of food requires people who are individually working in the physical world. Politics are as odd as the times. Which is cause or which is effect can be difficult to discern when it all seems to go in one big circle. Still, we do the best we can. We look at the world around us and take what actions we can. In the countries where individuals have a say, we vote. In any case, it is important to, "A benign government, designed and run for ALL the people, has been known to smooth the way:when such occurs, it deserves support.", L. Ron Hubbard in The Way To Happiness. www.thewaytohappiness.org @waytohappinesstampa
