MBA Programs From James Cook University Singapore

Established in 2003, James Cook University (JCU) Singapore now has a number of programs for local and foreign students of undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctorate levels. One of the programs they offer is Master of Business Administration.

 
[SINGAPORE, 5/10/16] – A fully owned university by James Cook University Australia, JCU Singapore offers a wide range of programs for both local and foreign students. They have programs suitable for all levels as well, such as undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctorate.

They also have pre-university level courses for those who are unable to meet the standards for university entrances.

From 34 students back in 2003, the population has grown to around 3,500 in 2015. As aforementioned, the university is open to both local and foreign learners. They have students from across Asia, as well as the United States and Europe.

Their Master of Business Administration program is one of the many postgraduate courses they offer to those who are thinking of pursuing further studies.

Master of Business Administration

The program equips its students with the understanding, knowledge, and skills to efficiently manage businesses. To achieve this, it involves the study of numerous researches and the use of vast knowledge to develop frameworks. This effectively teaches them how to analyse, strategise, and implement decisions.

Some of the main points of the course are career development, strategy, globalisation, responsible management practices, technology and innovation, and corporate governance.

The course runs for three trimesters per year. Students need to comply with their study plan that includes completing 16 subjects plus electives.

Foundation subjects include Marketing Management, Comparative Global Business Systems, Accounting and Finance for Managers, and People in Organizations.

They have eight core courses, including Marketing and Customer Engagement, Corporate Responsibility and Governance, Strategic and Responsible Innovation Management, and Economics for a Sustainable World.

The program has seven available electives, but students can also take additional electives from other postgraduate programs.

Requirement for entry includes successful completion of study equal to an Australian undergraduate award. English requirements include an IELTS score of 6.5 or a TOEFL iBT score of 90 (with 21 as a minimum writing score) or completion of the English Language Preparatory Program Level 4. Students who also finished two years of full-time study in English medium satisfies this requirement.
