For any material to act as a feasible vibration dampening solution, it needs to be soft and dense. With this in mind, Ecomass Technologies has applied its material expertise to produce high density materials as per the requirements of any customer-specific vibration dampening application.

Ecomass can choose from a wide range of plastic base resins and metallic fillers which they can adjust depending on the customer-specific requirements. One such example of a nontoxic compound for vibration dampening applications is made up of stainless steel and thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU). It boast a density level of 3.4 g/cc and ensure admirable toughness along with flexible molding grade.

Also known as high gravity compounds, these lead free compounds are in use in aircraft audio headphones to reduce external noise and to improve the quality of reception. The high density plastics, molded into golf club weights, are installed in wedges and woods to improve swing and ball-striking performance while dampening vibrations passed via the shaft.

In case of a transmission shifter, the operators of automobiles truly admire the reduced vibration, which is achieved via a sliding cartridge over the shifter rod produced from Ecomass high density compounds.
