Before you choose a cat care provider, there are a few things you should know

You want your feline companion to be safe while you're gone when you hire a Cat care service, but you already knew that!

So, are you worried about finding the right Cat care service? Pet sitting is designed to give you the knowledge you need to make an informed decision about a Cat care service.

1) Be aware of your cat's peculiar needs.
The majority of cats thrive in peaceful, self-contained environments. While boarding, your cat may be anxious and exposed to infectious diseases. Consider your cat's personality: do you think he'd be happy in his own home, with someone he knows? If that's the case, hire a professional pet-sitting service instead of a boarding facility.

Is your cat afflicted with any medical conditions or anxiety? A cat care provider will be better able to give your cat the one-on-one attention it requires to stay healthy. It's also a lot easier to check in with a Cat Care provider to see how your cat is doing. Throughout the day, you could receive text or email updates with photographs and video.

2) When it comes to your applicant, know who you're dealing with.
It's vital that you find a sitter who is comfortable with both you and your cat. This person will enter and stay at your home while you are gone, feeding and maybe medicating your cat, and dealing with any emergencies. As a result, you should start looking for work at least a month before you leave town. You'll have more time to meet many sitters if necessary, and you'll have more time to think about each of your applicants.

Look for reviews online and ask for personal referrals. Have them come to your place and interact with your cat to ensure compatibility. This gives you the opportunity to ask any questions you may have in order to ensure that the candidate is a good fit for the job.
3) Make a list of questions you'd like to ask your candidate.
Knowing what questions to ask a candidate when you meet with them to check if they're qualified to care for your cat is critical.
The following questions should be asked of each potential applicant:
• What does your rate include? For example, are dog walks included or extra? Is there a charge for giving medications to the pets?

• Is it true that you have a licence, insurance, and bond in place to protect your pet and your home in the event of an accident?
• Do you have the ability to provide full-time care for the animal or do you only provide "visits"? For example, a cat care provider may check in on the cat at certain times, but does not provide care 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
Will you be the only person who visits your home to engage with your cat?
4) Recognize the Value of Insurance

For a professional Cat care service, pet sitting insurance is normal procedurePet sitting insurance covers damage to your belongings caused by the pet sitter, injury to your pet, and vandalism/theft of your goods. While these situations are rare, having that peace of mind when you're away from home is comforting.
5) Be Aware of Your Spending Limits

It's critical to talk to your Cat care provider about your budget and costs so that everyone is on the same page. Is your babysitter going to visit you twice a day or will she live with you full-time? Is your sitter grooming you or taking you for a walk? Will she clean up spills, water the plants, and take out the trash? Are you able to cover the cost of a veterinarian in an emergency?

When discussing the budget with your sitter, all of these factors should be taken into account.
