We are happy to announce that the New Request Feature we piloted in the Beta version has now been rolled out to all SAM Cloud customers. The feature has two primary components: the settings within SAM Broadcaster Cloud ( http://spacial.com/what-we-do-features/ ) and the corresponding settings within SAM Broadcaster Live-DJ.

To configure the feature, simply login to your Cloud at http://samcloud.spacial.com and you will find the Request Policy settings under the Settings tab. Check ‘enable requests from widgets,' and ‘allow listeners to dedicate requests' if you wish to include these in your shout outs.

You will also need to add a new Browse Library Web Widget to your website. This is available from the Widgets tab within your Cloud. You can also add the Now Playing Dedications Widget to your website, so listeners can see their dedications as they play.

You can then set the various request frequency options, choosing from one of the following:

Leave request in Request list (will require you to manually play the requests)
Move request to top of Queue (will automatically add requested tracks to the top of the queue when the separation rules allow)
Move request to bottom of Queue (will automatically add requested tracks to the bottom of the queue when the separation rules allow)

Requested and dedicated tracks are automatically added to the Request Filter under the Library tab. To ensure that requests appear within SAM Broadcaster Live-DJ, click ‘Config,' then ‘Request Policy' and select ‘Process requests via SAM Broadcaster Cloud.' If you do not see the Request Window, please click Window -> Request within SAM Broadcaster Live-DJ.
