Get ready for a scare, Houston. On Tuesday, April 21, from 9:30 p.m. until 11:30 p.m., indie horror film Sorrow will premiere at River Oaks Theatre at 2009 West Gray St. in Houston, Texas.

Writer and director Millie Loredo and members of the cast will be in attendance to participate in a follow-up Q&A.

The movie will begin at 9:30 p.m., and Loredo will introduce the film. She and Vannessa Vasquez, who plays Mila Sweeney in the film, will be in attendance to answer questions after the film concludes. Loredo is excited to premiere the film in her hometown.

“I chose to premiere my film in Houston, because it’s not only where I’m from but where Vannessa is from as well,” she said. “I also shot part of the film in Houston with many local resources and actors.”

Sorrow follows the story of Mila Sweeney, a young woman who is kidnapped and tortured by deranged serial killers. She manages to escape in order to enact her own ingenious form of personal vengeance.

Loredo is optimistic that horror fans and independent film fans alike will appreciate her passion project. Click here to order your ticket for the screening today!
