Director of Sorrow Delves into Supernatural Thrillers

The director of movie the Sorrow is truly a Horror buff. The movie is inspired by some classic thriller movies.

 
Houston, Texas – The horror film genre houses within it many subgenres, including supernatural thrillers. Writer and director Millie Loredo grew up a horror movie buff, appreciating the entirety of the genre her whole life. Sorrow is a indie horror film and will be screened in Houston, Texas later this month, she is ready to begin working on a second horror film.

“I’ve always wanted to work on a supernatural thriller,” Loredo said. “Especially now since most of my most recent favorite movies have been of that genre.”

Loredo’s second horror film project is tentatively titled In Dreams. It follows the story of Stephanie, a young woman got murder in Grand Central Terminal. Her spirit lingers there and seeks an advertising professional named Stanley to help her find the people who killed her.

The film will fall into the same genre as such classics as The Sixth Sense, Paranormal Activity, The Others and Ghost. After studying several classic movies, she wrote the script. She was inspired after watching recent supernatural thrillers like Insidious and The Conjuring.

In the movie Sorrow, the star casts includes Vannessa Vasquez who is playing the role of lead character named Mila Sweeney, Eric Martinez in the role of Dale Roger, Donny Boaz in the avatar of detective Farrell, Andrew Sensenig playing the role of Chief of Police, Mary Etuk portray the role of a psychopath killer named Hersey Igor and famous Melissa Mars playing the role of smart detective Salinas.

Loredo is currently seeking funding and production of the film and would like to get started as soon as possible. She hopes to begin casting, production and filming next year.


For now, she is preparing for the premiere of her first indie horror film later this month. Sorrow will premiere on Tuesday, April 21, at River Oaks Theater in Houston, Texas and on Amazon Prime. Tickets for the screening in Houston are available online. Loredo, actress Vannessa Vasquez and actor Eric Martinez will then travel to Georgia, New York and North Carolina to screen the film in different parts of United States. After the tour of all cities gets over, Loredo state that she hopes to focus completely on In Dreams.

“I’m excited to get this screenplay off the ground,” Loredo said. “Now that I’m able to share my first film with audiences across the country, I’m ready to show them what else I can do.”
