Wie Scheibenzuber betonte, sei das Problem mit dem Recyclinghof kein Wörther Problem - "das ist ein überregionales Problem." Besonders Lithium-Ionen-Akkus stellen eine Herausforderung für Mensch und Wertstoffhöfe dar. "Das ist ein Landes- und Bundesproblem", so Scheibenzuber. Überall seien mittlerweile diese Akkus verbaut, in Kinder-Turnschuhen, Handys, Laptops, sogar in Frauenhandtaschen. Die Wertstoffhöfe sind noch nicht darauf eingestellt, das sollte sich künftig im Landkreis Landshut ändern.

Die Firma des Recyclingbetriebs, der Anfang Juni brannte, läuft immer noch nicht auf Volllast. "Er darf nur begrenzte Mengen annehmen", wie Scheibenzuber sagte. Bauliche Auflagen, wie hohe Brandschutzmauern, müssen errichtet werden, ebenso wie unter anderem ein Notrufalarmierungssystem im Werk oder das Bereitstellen von Schaumlöschmittel.
