Gold futures fell by 0.14 percent on Tuesday at the domestic markets as investors eyed easy monetary policy in China and continued import restriction in India. Prices dipped in the midst of conflicting reports about demand from the world’s two largest purchasers of the precious metal. However, a weaker dollar raised the appeal of the bullion as an alternative asset. Weaker dollar makes the precious metal cheaper for those holding other currencies, thus increasing demand. Gold futures fell by 0.14 percent on Tuesday at the domestic markets and Gold touched the intra-day low of Rs 26,452 till the trading.
