TAMPA BAY TEENS LEARN HOW TO BE GENTLEMEN, LADIES, AND HOW TO ADVOCATE FOR HUMAN RIGHTS

Clearwater, Florida – The Church of Scientology of Tampa will open its doors to teens from all over Hillsborough County on Saturday, March 30th, to empower them with life skills. The Gentlemen’s Course Inc. (TGC) and Youth for Human Rights Florida (YHR) will be holding a Social Networking Summit at the Church from 9:30am to 4:00pm. All teens are welcome.
Etiquette, decorum, table manners, how to treat a lady and what to expect from a true gentleman; these are all things which most youth of today aren’t skilled in. Combine that with lack of understanding of their fundamental human rights, and you get a world where ignorance begets hate. That is the world we live in today, and that is exactly what TGC and YHR are dedicated to change.
“If we teach our youth proper etiquette, life skills and empower them with their human rights, they will become leaders and they will change our future.” Stated Ms. Yvette Jones, TGC Mentor and event organizer. “This is one of the most important things anyone can do, helping young people so that they become valuable advocates for peace and tolerance.”
The event is 9-4pm summit where youth will start with a provided breakfast, seminars and activities, proper table-manners put into application during lunch, and more activities until the end of the summit. Cristian Vargas, Executive Director of Youth for Human Rights Florida, will lead the human rights seminar and activities; followed by Havilah Malone, a professional in the field of Social Media and finances; then Mr. Christopher King, Founder and CEO of The Gentlemen’s Course, who will speak about etiquette, table-manners, appearance lead them through lunch with a proper table setting; and finally Ms. Yvette Jones will discuss with the teens “How to be a Lady”.
Teens who are interested in attending can be dropped off at the venue and picked back up at 4:00pm, or they can be joined by their parents or guardians who are welcome to attend and participate. The event and all the food is complimentary thanks to the sponsorship and partnership with The Church of Scientology of Tampa.
