Scientology Volunteer Ministers of Tampa in Action for COVID 19, Phase 1 Reopening

The Scientology Volunteer Ministers took immediate action as part of the Phase 1 reopening of the City of Tampa. After strict adherence to Tampa's "Safer at Home Order" this is a first step of returning to a normal operating basis in Tampa with the new initiative “How to keep Yourself & Others well” booklet distribution. The aim is to keep the curve flat and this Corona Virus at bay.

The county wide campaign rolled out from the Church of Scientology in Ybor Square reaching across Tampa, into Hillsborough County and into St. Petersburg. This army of volunteers distributed more than 40.000 booklets on 3 days, to help the people of their communities, providing booklets to the St. Petersburg Police Department, Tampa Fire Station, a Tampa Police Station, and the Hillsborough Hope shelter in Tampa as requested by the County Sheriff's office.

Our staff and parishioners believe that knowledge placed in the hands of individuals will result in understanding, and therefore willing use and compliance. Booklets were also placed in stores, gas stations, pizzerias, restaurants, and any place that will result in more people having information. During this Coronavirus Crisis, and any other pandemic, you must know how to keep yourself and others healthy.

This booklet “How to keep Yourself & Others Well” explains personal hygiene; getting enough sleep, eating nutritious food regularly, and getting regular exercise is the first step. Then keeping clean and sanitary, starting with how to wash your hands, and how to use a mask and gloves, and even what to do with them after they are used. Clean all your spaces, home, car and or work place, with product to sanitize those areas. And how to contain illnesses through isolation. And much more beside the 6 feet’s apart of social distancing.
