You have worked hard for months so that you can enrol into one of the best business schools in India. In the chaos of the registrations for all the PG entrance exams in India, it’s important that you do not slack in your preparation. As you keep getting closer to an MBA entrance test, it’s important that you change your study plans slightly.

A strategic plan of action to follow during the last leg of preparation is vital. All in all, your strategy should revolve around three aspects:

●Preparations
●Revisions
●Mock tests & Analysis

Preparations:

One month before an entrance test, it’s safe to assume that you may have combed through the syllabus a couple of times already. It’s now time to focus on those topics and sections that you have a hard time understanding or solving. For instance, you may be struggling with Pie Chart related questions. It’s time to focus your efforts towards understanding that topic. Having said that, it’s also important that you don’t start preparing for a completely new topic at this time.

Focus on one section at a time. If you are preparing for an mba entrance exam like SNAP, then your week could look something like this:

Monday: Verbal Ability
Tuesday: Data Interpretation
Wednesday: Reading Comprehensions and Verbal Reasoning
Thursday - Saturday: Quantitative Ability
Sunday: Data Sufficiency and GK

Revisions:

When you revise the various topics covered in an MBA test, it's important that you start from the basics. Keep reading and re-reading all the fundamentals of all the sections. This will include math formulas, grammar and vocabulary rules, and more. If you take the time to have a strong base, the rest will follow.

Mock Tests & Analysis

You may have given a lot of mock tests during the months you’ve spent preparing for an MBA test. However, you cannot skimp on those tests right now. They will help you determine if there are topics that need more attention. They will help you understand how long you take in solving certain questions and if you can find ways to solve these faster. This analysis may seem insignificant right now, but it will be extremely helpful when you are sitting in front of the computer giving your SNAP, CAT, or any other exam. It’s important that your study plan keeps changing based on your mock test results and analysis.

You may feel anxious as the big day gets closer but try to remain calm. If you still haven’t completed your MBA registration, do that right away. Having successfully registered for your prefered MBA tests means you have one less thing to worry about. You will perform well if you are composed and confident. Best of luck!
