Chennai, Tamil Nadu – April 24, 2024 – Smile Welfare Foundation proudly announces the launch of its ATCHYA WASH project, aimed at improving water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH) infrastructure for Mamandur and Vembakkam schools. The project, initiated on April 24, 2024, involves the renovation of the toilet complex, construction of a sump and overhead tank, and provision of clean drinking water for both schools.
The renovation work is nearing completion, with the final phase scheduled to be completed by June 2024. Once finished, the upgraded facilities will be handed over to the school administration for reopening after the summer break. These essential improvements are set to create a healthier and more comfortable environment for students and staff, providing a much-needed facelift to the schools' WASH facilities.
Smile Welfare Foundation remains committed to supporting the education and well-being of underprivileged children by providing access to safe and clean facilities. This project is a part of the Foundation's ongoing mission to create lasting, positive change in rural and underserved communities.
