1.Social Media Marketing:
Social Media is getting stronger with each passing year in every aspect, from the effective advertisement to the content distribution. More than 92% of the marketers believe that social media has increased the exposure for their business, and have incorporated the social media marketing in their marketing strategies effectively.

According to social media study done by Pew Research Center, 90% of young adults (age 18 – 29) and 77% of adults (age 30 – 49) use social media today. So for emerging small and medium business it is imperative to take the aid of social media to invite leads for their business. Social networking is proving to be the excellent method for SMB to create brand awareness, and encourage site traffic without spending loads of money.

2.Search Engine Optimization:

Also, 60.4% of Search Engine Results Page (SERPs) clicks are garnered by top organic listings, while paid search gets only 39.6%.

One other practice that came into the limelight last year was the shift to the long-tail keywords, from the traditionally used broad keywords terms. When asked a group of digital marketing respondents, most of them replied, the need to lower the competition and drive qualified traffic to the page compelled the marketers to incorporate the long-tail keywords in their SEO strategy.

3.Content is still king!:
No doubt, content is still the one of most important digital marketing trends in 2016. Give a look at the stats and you will barely find someone who does not agree. But, it’s high time for online marketers to distinguish amid the ‘content’ and the ‘valuable content’. One thing that marketers have clearly understood is, if your content does not have the ability to cling the customers to the screens, then it can’t survive for long on the SERPs of the client. A survey by the Content Marketing Institute estimated that about 82% of the marketers believe in developing content for real people, the customers, and not for the search engines.

If you think, your content is of relevance to the audience, and capable of engaging & luring the customers to make an action, then there is a great probability that you already have half of the things in place.

To conclude, you must brace yourself in expanding your presence on social media, and shift to broad keyword terms to drive more traffic to your site. You should also concentrate on creating fresh and relevant content that you can promote across all social media channels such as Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram, etc. By just doing this, you will find that your lead generation will improve tremendously.
