After years of loving food I decided it was time to give my bad choices up. I was afraid I wouldn't be able to let go of the sugar and soda. Increasing your protein does amazing things to your cravings.
I had Roux-en-y Gastric Bypass surgery in November of 2012 and am down almost 70 pounds. The first 60 pounds came off in two months! Dr. Eslami is very skilled and I haven't had any complications. I haven't craved the bad foods, so I don't experience much dumping or yucky feelings.
Shopping at Macy's takes so much longer now that I can shop in the whole store. It is amazing to fit into a size 12 and I 'm still getting smaller.

He has given me a tool that has changed my life for the better. I was a long time dieter and after a vicious cycle of yo-yo dieting and after having 3 children I was morbidly obese. Prior to the surgery I could bairly move and was borderline diabetic. In less than a year,I have lost almost 100 pounds. Thank you Dr. Eslami and his staff for all of your help. Hi my name is Robyn. I would like to thank Dr. Eslami and his staff for giving me my life back. I had my surgery in March 2011 with a starting weight of 322 pounds. Since my surgery I have lost over 150 pounds. Having Gastric Bypass Surgery was the best decision I have ever made in my life. I thought about having surgery about 10 years ago and was not mentally prepared and couldn’t find a surgeon I connected with. Dr. Eslami is an awesome surgeon. Right from the start he made me feel comfortable and he is extremely knowledgeable. There are so many things I am able to do now like cross my legs, get on the floor and play with my son, lift weights and go zip lining. I even compete in 5K runs now.
I continue to attend monthly support meetings through Dr. Eslami's office and feel they are very beneficial for my ongoing success. Thank you Dr. Eslami you have given me my life back.
