From December 9-18 at the San Jose Center for the Performing Arts in Downtown San Jose, The Original San Jose Nutcracker will keep the magic alive for families and fans. Choreographed by Artistic Director Mark Foehringer and Ballet Mistress Mariana Zschoerper, this year includes a return of some of the original choreography by SJDT’s founders, Paul E. Curtis, Jr. and Shawn Stuart. The full length performance with a live orchestra continues a collaboration with Conductor Scott Krijnen and the Cambrian Symphony.

San Jose Dance Theatre also offers a one-hour show Once Upon A Nutcracker for two Friday morning performances. This shortened version will delight our youngest audiences. Held at the San Jose Center for the Performing Arts, it is the perfect introduction into the wonderful world of ballet! Tickets are priced at $15 for all ages.
